A few months back I got into an argument with some younger people about how the new Road House move was sacrilegious, I mean how do you replace Patrick Swazy? One kid spoke up and said "well the movie wasn't made for you, it was made for us" keep this in mind as I finish this review. I went in for a burger and a drink as this was the only place open late on my side of town that wasn't fast food. I was greeted at the door and carded, which was kinda cool, being that I'm several decades past the legal age. This place was hoping, packed to the rim. 1 bartender trying to keep up with drinks, people have an awesome time mingling and a few dancing. A couple of pool tables in the back, a nice patio outside. I walked around, and I haven't felt this old in quite awhile, and it dawned on me, this place wasn't made for me. It was made for me in my 20s and 30s. If you are on the younger side, go here with your friends and have a great time. Word to the dudes, it was a solid 2-1 ratio for girls here. They love to hang out and dace, have a good run etc. The owners have done a great job providing a nice place to unwind, and get rowdy. I tip my hat to them for their hard work.

Idk why this place gets shat on so much the food is decent the people are nice and the drinks aren't that expensive so kick up your shit kickers and put your daisy dukes on and start swayin that sludge machine like you about to save a horse and ride a Cowboy. Chewing tobacco not required but highly encouraged to set the ambiance of a REAL country bar YEEEEEEE HAWWWWWW First time I came here my lil Taiwanese buddy was absolutely wasted he puked in the guys urinal and then went up to get a drink, crashed into one of the big meaty bouncers and then he kicked him out. Was great entertainment and he did a very good job removing my shit faced friend the rest of us were impressed. Then my friend passed out on the lawn next to the front so I had to throw him over my shoulder like a sack of Chinese potato dumplings and carry him to my car. He got a Baja blast later that night so he was fine in the end Can't wait to be back !
I love the cricket and enjoy getting to line and swing dance with my friends but I have had three occurrences where I've fallen on the dance floor whether that be due to dust collecting on the concrete, a lack of care for spilled drinks on the dance floor and the latest was a low hanging sheet from the newly installed stage. I don't think the stage is necessary and I believe a hardwood floor would be more beneficial and enjoyed by all the dancers.
